Port Operations
EcoMaritime has been involved with the management of port operations for 24 years holding positions as pilot, assistant harbourmaster and harbourmaster. These positions are all carried various responsibilities for the safe and efficient operation of the port and included:
- Ship scheduling;
- Berth Allocation;
- Management of hazardous and dangerous goods handling;
- Management of emergency response to incidents;
- Pilot boat management, maintenance, survey, and repair;
- Vessel traffic centre management;
- Navigation buoys, lights and beacons;
- Dredging of channels and berths;
- Dredged spoil disposal;
- Installation and management of sea, swell and weather monitoring equipment;
- Analysis of environmental data for pilotage operations;
- Management of the Port Kembla Harbour Shipping Guidelines; and
- Management of community consultation processes.
